It all began in1957 and after 40 years of operation and into retirement, we are very proud and pleased with Tim and Laura Davison with their desire, hard work, trust, ideas, trained employees and friendly service. They will pump your gas etc. just like the old days, plus a cup of coffee if you want - and with a smile too. I was driving through Iowa back to Kansas and my check engine light came on, which obviously caused me to be in distress. I found this place on my phone and took it to them. I would estimate that the time it took to get it to them, figure out the problem, and fix the problem was probably 2-3 hours. I got lucky as they were probably not busy but they were quick and the price was reasonable. If you are ever in my situation I would take it here they really did me a solid favor. The least I can do is write my experience and tell everyone how great they did me.

Tim came to save the day when we were in town to pick up our daughter from Simpson College. We are from Colorado and we were experiencing brake issues after our long road trip from the day prior. We were out of luck finding an auto shop with a mechanic on staff on a Saturday to help us with our issue. So as I left one shop I saw Chumbley's auto care out of the corner of eye . I pulled in and without hesitation Tim was able to fit us in between customers to help us resolve the breaking problem. Within fifteen minutes our issue was resolved and we were back on the road again. Tim, you and your staff were angels that day and your help that day was much appreciated!

I needed to get an oil change before returning to Arizona. I called Des Moines' Toyota dealership and they had no openings for nearly two weeks. After mentioning to my friend that I needed to find a place to get my car serviced, she told me about Chumbley's and shared stories of the above-and-beyond service she's always received there. She told me to call in right away because they do a lot of business because of the quality of their service. When I did & gave my friend's name, they knew immediately to whom I was referring (you've got to love small town business for that!!). They managed to squeeze me in the next day. :D When I'm road tripping again between Iowa and Arizona again, I'll be back!!! :-) Thanks, Chumbley's!!! Oh, and I want to add that Jackie is a great front person for your business. Her welcoming, cheery attitude and quick laughter brightened a day filled with a deluge of rain!!!

These guys understand customer service! We drove to Indianola to pick up our daughter from college. Within the last hour or so of the trip, my husband started to hear unhappy noises when he applied the brakes. It was a Saturday morning - so we weren't exactly hopeful that we'd find someone who would have time to check the brakes, much less fix them. We pulled in to Chumbleys because they were obviously open. We were immediately greeted by Tim, the owner. He said he'd be happy to take a look, acknowledging he was expecting another customer with an appointment in 15 minutes. Well, he diagnosed and fixed the issue within 30-40 minutes (luckily for all, the folks with the appointment were a bit late). Meanwhile, my husband, 8 year old daughter, our two dogs, and I were treated with exceptional hospitality. The people are great, the shop is retro-cool.We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Chumbleys. Thanks again guys for your help!
