I get it I do!

I get it I do!
We all have very busy lives. We have to run here and there to meet commitments and obligations. Then the occasional weekend "Binge-Watch". Having the car serviced is low on the to-do list.

So what do we do? Run it through the Big Box lube center while we shop for the weekly groceries. Or hit the quick lube on the way home. The only good thing I can see out of this is that at least you are changing the oil - or at least you did pay for this service to be performed. After all, an oil change is an oil change. You remove the old oil and filter and replace it with new. Pretty simple, why do we need to go to a repair shop to have this done? That is what I am going to tell you.

The main difference it this. Most of the time, having a repair shop - such as our shop Chumbley's Auto Care perform the service is the fact that the same guy that repairs the car is the one giving it our inspection looking for issues that we feel you should be aware of. Issues that give you heads up to make decisions, about should I buy the Hawaii plane tickets or save that money back for just in case the car conks out. We want to not only perform a good quality oil change service using the same oil & filter we install in our cars but to perform a transparent inspection that arms you with information about the vehicle that transports your busy lives. This inspection is designed to save you money. For example, the car in the photo hooked onto our tow truck is taking its last ride. The owner had always done his oil service OR taking it to a quick lube. Well, no one informed him, of the importance of replacing the timing belt BEFORE that belt breaks, causing internal engine damage. So this perfectly good car not only left his family stranded but went from worth some value, to worth about $200. I like to think this could have been avoided by taking to a 'mechanic" for the service and listen to the advice, look at the inspection he offers. After all, this is kinda like going to the surgeon for a regular check-up and listening to his advise of how to avoid repair, over maintenance.

At Chumbley's Auto Care, you will not receive a fast lube service, ours take about 1 hour or more. We will inspect the lights, the steering, suspension system. Peek at the brakes and advise, measure look close at the tire condition. We inspect about 30 items in total. Then advise you of the inspection. No hard pushy sale here, just a partner to help you archive your goal of how long you would like to keep your car on the road.
